 NOTICE OF MEETING
  
The Board of Trustees of Trinity Valley Community College will meet in regular session at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, November 28, 2016 in the Board Room of the Orval Pirtle Administration Building, Athens, Texas.  Dinner will be served for the Board Members in the Administrative Building Conference Room at 6:30 p.m. where no business will be discussed. 
 
The Board of Trustees may take formal action as to any of the items listed below:
 
  1.     Open meeting with prayer.
 
  2.     Consider public comments.
 
  3.     President’s Report.
         
          a.     SACSCOC reaffirmation update
          b.     Dallas Christmas Parade – December 3
          c.     Athens Christmas Parade  – December 3, 6:00 PM
          d.     Christmas Luncheon- Tuesday, December 20th, 11:30-1:00 PM
          e.     Graduation – Tuesday, December 20th, 6:00 PM
          f.      Next Regular Board meeting – January 23rd.
          g.     Heart of Texas Bowl Game at Copperas Cove – December 3 at 11:00 AM
 
  4.     Consider minutes of the October 24, 2016 board meeting.
 
  5.     Consider business, financial and investment reports for October, 2016.
 
  6.     Consider and discuss approval of the 2017 Spring & Summer Continuing & Workforce Education Class Schedule.
 
  7.     Consider and discuss approval of levy amounts.
 
  8.     Consider and approve TASB Policy Update No. 31 and other policy updates.
 
  9.     Consider annual audit report presented by Mr. Marlin Smith of Smith, Lambright & Associates, P.C.

10.     Consider and discuss a resolution supporting proposed legislation to increase the number of members on a Texas community college board.
 
11.     Consider and discuss personnel updates.
 
12.     Convene to Executive Session to discuss the following matters involving real property in accordance with Texas Government Code Section 551.072.
 
         (a)  Discuss the possible purchase, exchange, lease or value of real property located at 1551 State Highway 34 South, Terrell, Texas owned by the City of Terrell
 
         (b)  Discuss the possible purchase, exchange, lease or value of real property known as the City Park and Emergency Operations Center owned by the City of Athens
 
         (c) Discuss possible renovation and/or construction in Palestine, Texas
 
13.     Take any necessary actions on the following matters:
 
         (a)  Contract for Sale of Real Property between the City of Terrell and Trinity Valley Community College
 
         (b)  Agreement to purchase real property owned by the City of Athens known as the City Park and Emergency Operations Center
 
14.     Adjourn.
