Erica Bryant, Class of '01, graduated from TVCC with High Honors.  She was a homecoming queen finalist both years.  The first year she was the only freshman and the only African-American finalist the following year.  She was editor of the TVCC News Journal and was a member of Phi Theta Kappa.  She graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington in December 2003 with a Bachelors degree in journalism.  While at UTA she served as reporter, designer, copy editor, news editor and features editor of The Shorthorn, the university's award-winning student newspaper.  She received awards from the Southwestern Journalism Congress and the Texas Intercollegiate Press Association.  She was inducted into Phi Beta Sigma and Kappa Tau Alpha honor societies.  She also served as president of the Society of Professional Journalists.  Since graduation, she has accepted a position as the Online News Editor for the Times Record News in Wichita Falls, Texas  At age 22, she is the youngest editor and the first African-American editor at the Wichita Falls paper.   BryantE@timesrecordnews.com

Hemaxi Desai, Class of '99-'02, is currently attending UT Tyler, seeking a bachelor's degree in computer science.

Jigna Desai, Class of '98-'02, is currently attending UT Tyler, seeking a bachelor's degree in computer science.

John Douglas, was a member of the Cardinal Regiment and the TVCC Choir.  He now lives in Huntsville, Texas and attends Sam Houston State University. 

Liz Ensign, Class of '99-'01, was a member of Cardettes, PTK and Student Senate.  She graduated with High Honors from TVCC.  She received the Outstanding Undergraduate Award in Psychology and graduated from UNT in December of 2003. Liz is the Drill Team Director for Mabank High School and is employed at Trinity Valley Community College in the Advising Office.  Thinlizzy71@aol.com

Erik Gransberg, Class of 2001, attended TVCC on a cheer scholarship and was a member of the 2001 National Champion Cheerleading squad.  He is currently attending OU and will graduate in December with a Civil Engineering degree.  Upon graduation he will start work as a project engineer for Gilbert Construction Company in Dallas, Texas.  He is also a member of the U.S. Olympic Weightlifting team and will be representing the USA at the upcoming Summer Olympics.  He holds the title of the 2003-2004 Big XII Conference and NCAA weightlifting champion in the 77kg weight class and is the current World University Champion in the 77kg weight class.  Erik says that his time at TVCC was definitely the best and most memorable experience of all of his college days.  BIGGPEN@aol.com

Jeff "Smiley" Mallory, Class of '00, played football at TVCC and later attended Texas Southern University and played football there, received his Bachelors in Design Technology degree in 2003.  He is currently in the graduate program at TSU and is doing an internship with the Office of Mobility in Houston.  jeff_mallory@yahoo.com

Christian Reed, Class of '00, graduated from UT Tyler after leaving TVCC.  While at UTT, he was on the Dean's list and in the UTT Choir.  He also held lead rolls in university musicals over a two year period and graduated Magna Cum Laude.  He taught music for Mabank ISD for eight years. He returned to SFA where he completed his Masters in Education Administration. He was Assistant Principal at Palestine Middle School for one year and is now Assistant Principal at Scurry-Rosser High School.  He is married and has three children.

Sheradon Robbins, Class of '03, is currently attending The University of Texas at Austin.  She is in the nursing school's professional sequence program, working toward her BSN degree.  She has been named to the University Honors List and a member of the UTNSA.  bevo-sher@sbcglobal.net.

Jessica Shields, Class of '02, was a member of the Cardinal Regiment and now lives at 3227 Weather Vane, Dallas, TX  75228.

Christina Smith, Class of '01, and former drum major of the Cardinal Regiment Band & a member of the TVCC Choir, completed her degree at SFA-Nacogdoches in December 2002 and now serves as seventh grade band director with the Henderson, Texas ISD.  She married in December 2003 and now resides in Nacogdoches.  smithcg03@yahoo.com

Ben Whitmire, Class of '06, after graduation from TVCC, returned to Tyler, Texas and began his own web-based computer store.

Wendy Whitmire, Class of '04, after leaving TVCC, attended the University of Mississippi and earned a BA in 2007.  She graduated Summa Cum Laude, was a member of Phi Kappa Phi and was recipient of the Taylor Award.  She has been accepted into the University of Mississippi's graduate sociology program and is expected to graduate in May of 2011. wrwhitmi@olemiss.edu
