TVCC Network Services does not recommend any particular brand of computer. It is the responsibility of the student to make sure that they have the necessary computer resources and skills to take these classes. Students are not required to purchase their own computer, but must have access to one that meets these specifications.
Internet Access
The computer must be able to connect to the Internet and allow the student to browse the World Wide Web. Email access is optional, however, we do recommend that you have an e-mail address. If you do not have an e-mail account please visit one of these sites that offer a free e-mail account.
Compatible Browser
You will need to have a compatible Browser to access WebCT. For best results in WebCT, use a minimum of Netscape 4.5 or Internet Explorer 4.0. Early versions of Internet Explorer and Netscape have problems with JAVA.
