Looking down the alley of the barn. There are 24 stalls
As you can see the stalls have sliding doors, swing out feed doors and water and electricity available between every two stalls. Thus you can run fans without having long extension cords run across the barn increasing the chance of getting tangled up in a cord. Also, no long water hose to drag around. each water hydrant is equipped with a short length of hose, just long enough to service the two stalls it is designated for.
These wooden boxes measure approximately 4' X 6' and can be used for any type of storage needs a student may have. Most students use these boxes for their hay, feed and misc. grooming supplies.

This is the condition of the stall flooring when student move in each Fall.
We try to encourage students to help us take good care of our facility and leave the stalls in the same condition as when they began using them.

Looks like someone needs to mow some grass !!!! We are still working on establishing good turf on the pad surrounding the barn. Also, as you can see in the picture on the left, our hydraulic horse walker is located close to the barn.
Below is some information about the use of our facility and services offered. We strive to update the information on this website frequently, however, some details may change from time to time. For the most recent information on costs, etc. please call or email Steve Keith.

Rental: Stalls are available for rent at the cost of $150 per semester. Stalls may also be provided in a scholarship package.
Deposit: EVERY boarder must pay a $30 deposit to cover damages beyond normal wear and tear, as well as to ensure that the student leave their stall(s) in the same stripped and clean condition as it was when they began using them.
Cleanliness: Each boarder is responsible for keeping the aisle way in front of their assigned stalls clean and free from manure, hay, trash, etc. Also, student must keep their stalls acceptably clean. All boarders are responsible for the cleanliness of the grounds surrounding the horse barn, including the manure disposal area. Failure to follow these guidelines will result in a monetary fine, much like a parking ticket. For more details refer to the TVCC Horse Barn Stall Contract.
Board Plan: Due to the distance (7 miles) from campus to our rodeo facility we offer a morning board plan. The cost is very minimal and this plan is only designed to prevent students from having to drive out each morning just to feed. The current cost is $30 per month and MUST BE PAID IN ADVANCE! Basically how this works is you leave the feed/hay that you want each horse to have on the feed box in front of the stall in the evening, then the next morning between 7:30 to 8:30 A.M. an employee of TVCC will put that feed/hay in the stall with the horse. This plan is for Monday through Friday ONLY. This Plan does not include filling water or cleaning stalls, etc. This is designed only to save the students money and time by not having to drive out to the rodeo facility each morning to only feed their horses.
Security: To date we have had no reports of thief or vandalism to school or personal property located within the grounds of the TVCC rodeo facility. This does NOT mean that thief and vandalism will not happen in the future. Who the students provide this combination to is beyond the control of TVCC. Also, it is the responsibility of each student to keep these gates closed and locked at all times when the property when no one is present on the property. I strongly suggest that each student consider purchasing insurance on their horses, trailers, tack, etc. Trinity Valley Community College accepts no liability or responsibility for any type of property within the bounds of our rodeo facility which may become stolen, vandalized, or otherwise affected.
