TVCC Classic begins tonight

The Lady Cardinals are hosting three teams for a two-day classic at Cardinal Gym.

Three teams are scheduled to join the Trinity Valley Community College Lady Cardinals in the TVCC Classic, which gets under way tonight at Cardinal Gym.

Joining the Lady Cardinals will be Panola College, Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College and Neosho Community College.

Action begins with Panola, which competes in Region XIV Conference with the Lady Cardinals, playing NEO at 5 p.m. The Lady Cardinals, who opened with an 87-66 win over Hill College Wednesday night in Hillsboro, take on Kansas-based Neosho at 7 p.m.

Saturday’s slate of games has Panola and Neosho playing at 1 p.m. The Lady Cardinals and NEO square off in the final game of the classic at 3 p.m.

The TVCC-NEO game will feature two of the nation’s top-ranked teams. The Lady Cardinals debuted at No. 5 in the NJCAA preseason poll and NEO at No. 9. NEO dropped its season opener, falling 59-57 on a last-second shot to Coffeyville Community College.

The Lady Cardinals’ next home game is Wednesday, Nov. 18, against McLennan Community College at 7 p.m.
