QEP Task Force Workspace
Purpose of this Webpage: This is a workspace website that will be utilized by the QEP Task Force in order to facilitate effective communication between Task Force Meetings. Information presented on this site are UNOFFICIAL, and are likely in VERY ROUGH DRAFTS of ideas being discussed by the QEP Task Force.
The Vice President of Instruction appointed a QEP Task Force to further refine the QEP topic. Task force members include Jeremy McMillen, Kay Pulley, Linda Gann, Janet Lumpkin, Rob Risko, Dale Cates, Russell Self, Judy Calicoatt, and Vicki Dossett. The specific charge of the QEP Task Force includes:
Providing feedback regarding the legitimacy of the process that has been used to select the QEP at TVCC and to make further recommendations for how to proceed in developing the QEP Focus,
and
Developing a more concrete description of the focus of the QEP based upon the results of the extensive focus groups conducted in Spring 2005 by the Dean of Planning and Institutional Effectiveness and the March 10, 2005 recommendations submitted by the Committee on College Planning.
While it is not the primary charge of this committee to go further than this, it is suggested that the QEP Task Force develop initial recommendations regarding the institution's capacity to carry out the QEP and the means that might be employed to assess student learning in the QEP to the extent that these become major factors for the group in deciding their focus.
The QEP according to SACS is "to lead to a course of action for institutional improvement by addressing a question or questions that contribute to institutional quality with special attention to student learning" (Principles of Accreditation, 2001).
