| Qualifications: |
Bachelor’s or Associates degree in a computer related field preferred. Certificate(s) in networking and microcomputers or equivalent including college certificate programs, CCNA, MCSE, A+. Training gained through extensive military or work related experience. Minimum of one (1) year experience in information technology services directly related to the duties and responsibilities listed below if the candidate has a Bachelor’s or Associates degree. Minimum of two (2) years experience in information technology services directly related to the duties and responsibilities listed below if candidate has a certificate. Military or work related candidates should have a minimum of four (4) years extensive experience in information technology services directly related to the duties and responsibilities listed below. |
| Duties:
|
Install, troubleshoot, and maintain new network connections. Including, but not limited to, category 5, 5E, and 6 wiring, installation of network cards, and configuration of host machines. Troubleshoot hardware and software issues associated with client microcomputers including hardware, software and peripherals. Install, maintain and configure personal computers in a networked environment. Provide a high level of attention to detail in all general work especially when documenting configurations. Install, maintain, and configure network and stand alone printers. Install, repair and upgrade various microcomputer hardware including, but not limited to installing network cards, replacing memory, video cards, installing drives, and debugging system configuration. Assist in the maintenance of Domain user accounts on the TVCC domain. Including but not limited to adding, renaming, resetting locked accounts, assigning user to group, assigning user rights to printers, and assigning user rights to disk resources. Assist in the maintenance of dialup user accounts for the Athens campus. Including resetting locked accounts, adding accounts, and deleting accounts. Assist in the maintenance of help desk support to students and employees on all campuses. Including, but not limited to, Windows XP, network connectivity, e-mail accounts, OWA, applications, internet access, and Microsoft Office products. Assist in removing computer viruses, worms or malware from desktop machines. Assist in the development of web pages and FAQs for the IT Services web site. Other duties as assigned by the Dean of Information Technology Services.

| Physical Requirements:
|
Within the general range of an office environment. May be required
to lift, push, or pull 30 lbs. Entails climbing a ladder.
May require travel to and from campuses.
