VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

TITLE:  Head Women’s Basketball Coach

SUMMARY: Trinity Valley Community College (TVCC) seeks a highly motivated and successful individual to continue the outstanding history and tradition of the women’s basketball program.   Since 1991, TVCC has won seventeen conference championships, five national championships, including six straight national championship game appearances (1994-99), nineteen consecutive 20+ win seasons and ten 30+ win seasons.  The program has produced eighteen first-team All-Americans and more than seventy Division I players.   Game action and additional information can be found at www.tvcc.edu/videochannel/.

LOCATION: Athens, Texas

SALARY:  Per TVCC salary schedule

DEADLINE:  Open until filled.

QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s Degree required.  Master’s Degree preferred.  A minimum of 5 years coaching experience at the high school or collegiate level. Head coaching experience at the college level is preferred.

DUTIES:  Perform all coaching duties necessary for maintaining a competitive women’s basketball program. Be capable of motivating, teaching, and supervising students. Teach assigned classes according to approved course syllabi and minimum competencies. Participate in curriculum development, including the establishment of learning outcomes and reporting as required by departmental procedures. Schedule and maintain office hours as required by College policy. Assist with advisement and registration of students. Attend faculty meetings, commencements, and other special meetings called by TVCC administration. Maintain a professional relationship with students and peers. Perform other duties as assigned by the Athletic Director.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:  Within the general range of a classroom or office environment.
