Getting Started

At Trinity Valley Community College, we strive to make every student’s admissions process as quick and easy as possible.  Below, you will find nine easy steps to making sure you meet the admissions requirement at Trinity Valley.

Step 1:  Admission

You can download an application (PDF file), or request a printed application by calling the Admission office at 1-866-882-2937.

Step 2.  Financial Aid

Financial Aid is not a requirement, however it is recommended.
TVCC assists students in applying for financial aid, scholarships, veterans’ benefits, and vocational/technical students may also be eligible for Carl Perkins Grant.  Start this process early and keep the deadlines in mind.

Step 3.  Testing Requirements

Required reading, writing and math assessments tests help place students in the appropriate classes.

Step 4. Advising

Prior to registering for classes, all new students are encouraged to meet with an advisor or counselor to select their major and classes.

Step 5. Orientation

All students new to TVCC must complete an online orientation.

Step 6. Apply for Residence Hall (optional) (link to residence hall)

Residency is only available on the Athens campus.

Step 7. Registration

New students must be registered on campus by an academic advisor.  Returning students must meet eligibility criteria (see class schedule) to be able to register online.  TVCC also offers walk-in “Late Registration” starting the first day of class.  Late Registration fee is $25.

Step 8. Cashier

Pay your tuition to the Business Office

Step 9. TVCC student ID

TVCC student ID is required to use some College services, such as using the computer labs, checking out books at the library, and picking up loan/pell checks.
