FEDERAL PELL GRANT

• Considered the foundation of federal student financial aid;
• Gift aid – does not have to be paid back;
• Available to undergraduate students whose EFC number is less than 4041;
• Award range for 08-09 is $400 to $4731;
• Based on EFC number generated by FAFSA application, student’s COA, and number of hours student is enrolled

Federal Academic Competitiveness Grant (ACG)

• Gift aid – does not have to be paid back;
• Available to undergraduate students who are receiving a Pell Grant
• Must be a graduate of a "Rigorous" high school program January 2005 or after
• Must be a fulltime student pursing at least a 2-year degree
• Based on EFC number generated by FAFSA application, Student's COA, and number of hours student is enrolled

FEDERAL SUPPLEMENTAL EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITY GRANT (SEOG)

• Campus-based funds for those with exceptional financial need;
• Gift aid – does not have to be paid back;
• Available to undergraduate students enrolled in at least 6 semester hours;
• Typical Award is $200 per semester;
• Based on availability of funds (first come, first serve)

FEDERAL WORK-STUDY

• Must have a completed, processed FAFSA application on file
• Campus-based funds – awards based on availability of funds (first come, first serve);
• Available to undergraduate students enrolled in at least 6 semester hours;
• Students usually work between 10-19 hours per week
• Provides part-time employment for minimum wage in
  • community service areas
  • reading and math tutor programs
  • various departments of the college
