Prerequisite: The
student should have trigonometry background and strong algebra
skills.

Description: Topics normally include limits and continuity, derivatives and their
applications, integrals and their applications.

Evaluation Method
Exams: Five 100 exams will be given at the end of
each chapter as
indicated on the schedule below. In
addition, a comprehensive final
exam will be given on the date shown on the
schedule. The five
exams along with the homework
average will account for 80% of the grade and the final exam
will be worth 20% of the grade. The final exam may replace your
lowest test grade or a missed test.
Homework:
the homework average will be given equal weight to one test.
Note

NO MAKE-UP EXAMS
will be given. If you know you are going to miss class on the day of an
exam, you may arrange to take the test before the next
class meeting. Otherwise, the final will replace the missed
exam. WARNING: The final may replace no more
than one exam.
Academic Dishonesty
A
student found guilty of academic dishonesty will be dropped from
the course, if the incident occurs before the drop date. After
the drop date, the student will receive a grade of “F” in the
course.
