Exams:  Five 100 point tests (including a Comprehensive Final Exam), approximately evenly spaced throughout the semester will be given.

Homework:    Homework will be assigned for most class meetings and will be accepted for full credit at any time on the due date (even faxed in on the due date). Homework that is late but turned in by the time of the unit test on that material will receive reduced credit (8 homework points maximum instead of 10) unless OK’ed by the instructor, at the discretion of the instructor, when a student provides a very good reason for the lateness of the work. The lowest homework score will be dropped before a percent correct is calculated. This homework percent, will then count 100 points toward the final grade.

Grading:   Students will need the following totals to receive the respective final grades

            A                       540 - 600
            B                       480 - 539
            C                       420 – 479

Any test grade below 70 needs to be replaced with a retest over that unit. No retests will be given in regular class. You will need to schedule any retest during office hours, and any retest will need to be taken between 1 week and 2 weeks after the original test.

Attendance:    Any student who misses 6 or more class meetings will be dropped from class for excessive absence. Being dropped from your only or last required Developmental course in any semester will result in a student’s being dropped from all classes and removed from school for the rest of the semester.
