Differential Equations

Math 2320

This is a first course in ordinary differential equations.  Topics covered normally will include:  first order linear differential equations, Bernoulli’s equations, differential operators, homogeneous linear differential equations, undetermined coefficients, reduction of order, variation of parameters, power series solutions and Laplace transforms used to solve initial value problems and systems of differential equations. The course will also include applications to real world problems.

Students will need the following totals to receive the respective final grades:  A  630 – 700,   B  560 – 629,  C  490 – 559,  D  420 – 489.
