CELL PHONE USAGE
TVCC policy is that cell phones
are not allowed to be used during class. If your cell phone
goes off during class after a warning, the cell phone will be
taken and turned into the Dean’s office. You will meet with the
Dean in order to determine if your phone will be returned. In
the case of an emergency, please notify the instructor prior to
class beginning and turn your phone on vibrate. (This includes
texting during class).
CHEATING
Any student that has been
caught cheating will receive a 0 on that assignment. Any
student caught cheating a second time will automatically receive
a F for the class and will be reported to the Dean.
All students are expected to adhere to
all TVCC’s policies as outlined in the TVCC catalog.

Grades
1. Attendance: 100
points A: 1100 - 1200
2. Exams:
400 points B: 1000 - 1099
3. Project:
200 points C: 900 - 999
4. Lab Work: 200
points D: 800 - 899
5. Final:
150 points F: 000 – 799
6. Peer Evaluation: 50
points
7. Interactive Poster Board: 100 points
Notes:
- NO MAKE-UP EXAMS will be
given. If you know you are going to miss class on the day
of an exam, you may arrange to take the test before
the next class meeting. Otherwise, the final will replace
the missed exam. WARNING: The final may
replace no more than one exam.
- The “lab work” points are based on the
activities in your workbook. This will be due on the day of
the exam covering those sections. Every problem in
every section should be completed. NO LATE WORK WILL
BE ACCEPTED.
NOTE:

Group
Project: All
students are expected to actively participate in the group
project - in the planning, creating, and presenting of the
lesson. Failure to contribute to your group will result in you
receiving a 0 on the project. Failure to present will also
result in a 0 for the project. This means you will NOT possibly
receive an A for the course.
