Evaluation Method

1.       Major Exams – There will 5 major tests as indicated on the course calendar. 

2.       Final Exam –  There will be a comprehensive final exam at the end of the semester.

3.       Homework –  Homework will be assigned each night.  Homework is due the night of the Chapter test.  Homework will NOT be accepted late.

4.       Extra Credit -  All extra credit will be due the night of the chapter test.  No late work will be accepted.

 

NOTE:       NO MAKE-UP EXAMS will be given.  If you know you are going to miss class on the day of an exam, you may arrange to take the test before the next class meeting.  Otherwise, the final will replace the missed exam.  WARNING:  The final may replace no more than one exam.

 

SUPPLIES

·         Paper, Spiral, Notebook for Note Taking

·         Pencil, Blue or Black Ink Pen

·         Graphing paper (optional)

·         Scientific Calculator or Basic Calculator (No Graphing)

 

CELL PHONE USAGE

            TVCC policy is that cell phones are not allowed to be used during class.  If your cell phone goes off during class after a warning, the cell phone will be taken and turned into the Dean’s office.  You will meet with the Dean in order to determine if your phone will be returned.  In the case of an emergency, please notify the instructor prior to class beginning and turn your phone on vibrate.  (This includes texting during class). 

 

CHEATING

            Any student that has been caught cheating will receive a 0 on that assignment.  Any student caught cheating a second time will automatically receive a F for the class and will be reported to the Dean.

 

All students are expected to adhere to all TVCC’s policies as outlined in the TVCC catalog.
