Course Description

This course is designed to provide a review of basic mathematics skills and to provide a mathematics background for accounting. The course includes instruction on fractions, decimals, percentage, simple and compound interest, retail problems, payroll, loans, taxes, insurance, and depreciation. Also, includes the use of pocket calculators.

Methods of Evaluation

There will be 6 major tests, plus there will be a final exam. There will be assigned problems from each chapter in the text.

Chapter Tests = 62%
Assigned Problems = 28%
Final Exam = 10%
