OPTIONAL CONSTITUTION TEST

You have the option of taking a test over the US Constitution in an effort to replace the lowest score you received on your first three Exams. This optional exercise cannot be used to make up an Exam you have missed. The score on this exam will not be used to replace your Internet Assignment average. The score on this exam will not replace the grade on your paper or lack of a grade because you did not turn in a paper. The score on this test will not replace you Final Exam grade. If your score on this test is higher than your lowest existing EXAM score at this point, it will replace THAT score. If your score is lower than your lowest Exam score, nothing will change. Taking this test cannot hurt your grade in the course, it will only be used if it helps.

This is really a pretty easy exercise; the average score is usually about 80. There are over 50 grants of power to be found in the US Constitution but there is room for only 50 on a regular sheet of paper. I suggest that you make five separate lists with the powers you find on the appropriate list. Most of them are easy to spot but you do have to look pretty close to find all of them. The powers will be taken from the body of the Constitution only--not from amendments.

Below is a preview of the test format. It will be matching with 50 items.
