My philosophy of education is that it should first be enjoyable and second that it should be relevant to the student. I teach online developmental reading and writing classes with these goals in mind. No textbook is required for either class, although most students will find it helpful to purchase a good grammar reference book for use both in these classes and in future college work. See the class syllabus for my recommendation.
