ENHANCING OPPORTUNITY THROUGH SCHOLARSHIPS

TVCC has much to offer students.  It is a leader in the state in the education of university-bound students, consistently producing students who, after transferring to a university, obtain grade point averages at or above any other student group.  TVCC is also a leader in the state in graduation rates and in educating students who need remediation.  TVCC serves students that range from high school honor graduates to high school dropouts who, as adults, want a second chance.  TVCC has acclaimed vocational programs, national champion caliber athletic teams and outstanding performing groups.

Knowledge is quickly becoming the state's most valuable economic asset as the demand for workers with analytical and problem-solving skills increases.  The state has identified an unskilled and under-educated population as a danger to the Texas economy and has called on its colleges and universities to reverse a troubling trend.

We must reach out to the students in our service area and ensure that they have the opportunity to attend college. Getting them in the door with an earned scholarship is the first step!
