Cardinal Regiment
This group is open to all who
audition and demonstrate the ability to play an instrument or
the ability to perform as a twirler. The Band performs for
football games and some of the basketball games. The band
presents concerts featuring the traditional music of the season.
The Band performs for many local events and makes a number of
trips each year. In addition, band members may audition to
participate in the Texas All-State Junior College Honor Band.

Swing Orchestra
This ensemble is open to all students who
are interested in playing all types of jazz and today's popular music. This
group performs for various events throughout the year and presents concerts
each spring at various area high schools. Another function of this group is
to act as a performance laboratory for those who wish to learn and arrange
in the jazz idiom. Prerequisites to joining this group are membership in the
Cardinal Regiment Band, admission by audition or approval of director.

 Summer
Drum
Major & Guard Camp
Instruction will be given in vocal, baton and
whistle commands, marching fundamentals, conducting, squad drill, marching and
maneuvering. Training will consist of daily class sessions, both lecture and
outside workshops. Also, Color Guard will consist of class instruction on the
basic fundamentals of equipment used on a color guard line as well as
performance techniques. Both groups will be taught about leadership
characteristics and skills.

Summer Middle School Band Camp
This is a one week instructional camp dedicated
to the development of skills essential for the middle school band student.
Students will improve their playing through the reading of selected band
literature, section rehearsals, chair placement and optional private lessons.
The group will participate in a concert scheduled for the last day of camp. The
camp is open to all students entering the 7th, 8th and 9th grade.
