The above dates are for classroom instruction only.
All students are required to take simulator training and behind the wheel
instruction. These will be scheduled with each student.

must be 15 years old (within the scheduled class dates)
Must
have an original birth certificate or certified copy of birth certificate and
proof of school enrollment form on the third day of class. (REPORT CARD IS NOT
ACCEPTABLE for proof of enrollment.) (Proof of school enrollment form is
available from the student’s high school)

Response alternatives regarding intervention, treatment, education, and prevention are reviewed. Competencies and requirements for licensure in Texas are explained. Addiction issues related to diverse populations are presented. Student will identify the requirements for licensure and certification in Texas and the 12 Core Functions of the addiction counselor.
