TVCC and East Texas Workforce Solutions have combined forces to help you jumpstart your career. This is an opportunity to explore which jobs and employee skills are in demand. Fund are available to qualified individuals for assistance with workforce skills training.
Training grants are available to qualified parents of minor children. The training is to prepare the parents for jobs. The grant funds are used to provide training for adults who qualify under the workforce board guidelines. Workers with minor children, who may have recently lost their job, or those currently receiving TANF assistance or who may be at risk of receiving TANF assistance may qualify.
Qualifications: Must live in Anderson, Henderson, Van Zandt or Rains counties; must have minor child(ren) living at home; and must be receiving some form of assistance such as Medicaid, Food Stamps, or Free/Reduced Lunches.
