The Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) responds to the training needs of Texas businesses that have fewer than 100 employees with the Skills for Small Business program. These employers are the backbone of Texas'business community. Training through the Skills for Small Business program increases competitiveness, upgrades the skills of current employees and prepares newly hired employees for job requirements.
TWC and TVCC are working together to provide this training to area businesses. Local businesses identify training courses needed by their employees. Most of these courses are found in the list of classes available at TVCC. The business will make application directly to TWC. TWC will evaluate the application and then work with the local college to fund the selected training.
