If you were not able to attend Homecoming you missed out on a great day.  We had lots of HCJC Cardettes in attendance from 68-71!!  Several of the Cardettes attend our Friday Pit Practice and told stories of their Cardette Days.  They showed the current Cardettes the ever popular "Cardette Bounce."  It was a memorable moment to get the opportunity to visit with such special ladies.  The 2006-07 Cardettes performed an spectacular halftime starting out with the well loved opened to "Deep in the Heart of Texas" into a flawless high kick to "Gimme Some Lovin."  The Cardettes returned back to the field to perform a visual skirt routine to "Sierra Sister."  It was an amazing halftime that brought tears to the alumni and pride to the current team.   What a great day!

In June 2007 the Cardettes, and three Cardette alumni, hosted a dance camp for high school freshman to seniors.  "Dance Your Heart Out" camp gave the dancers 5 routines, several technique classes and seminars on basic dancers need to knows, auditioning, public speaking, etiquette, and life skills.  It was 3 wonderful days which will become a yearly event.  If you are an alumni still active in the dance world and would be interested in assisting with the camp please notify Darla Mansfield.
