Attention Students and High School Counselors: TVCC is committed to helping area high schools prepare their students for a seamless entry and transition into the Texas Colleges and Universities of their choice. In doing so, we have decided to provide opportunities for Quick THEA administrations onsite at your high school during the school day. New ID policy for CLEP Testing effective November 1, 2005. All examinees must have two forms of personal identification in order to be admitted. For further information, see the CLEP information page.

GED Updates

Effective September 1, 2007: the GED Exam fee will increase from $65 to $70 for first-time examinees. Fees for retesting will be $10 for each subject area.

 

Beginning with the June 2004 GED exam dates, we will only register two weeks prior to a test date. Exact registration and testing dates are listed on the GED Information Page.

CLEP Updates

Effective July 1, 2008: CLEP exam fees will be increasing from $65 to $70 for each test (the $3 per semester hour proctoring fee will remain the same). If you are taking a CLEP exam and paying by check or money order, make it payable to CLEP.

COMPASS/ACCUPLACER Updates

Effective Aug 1, 2007: TVCC will replace the COMPASS administration with the ACCUPLACER. The fee for the ACCUPLACER will be $49.
