NEW VETERAN STUDENTS
If you have never used your VA benefits at TVCC before
there are a number of things you will need to do and the
Veteran's Financial Aid office will need to get you started.
These items include:
1. Your Certificate of Eligibility (or proof that you have applied for VA benefits.
2. You will need to request a copy of your Joint
Services Transcript to have your military experience
translated into college credit. See below for how to
request your JST.
3. A copy of your (Member 4) VA Form DD-214.
4. A TVCC VA Benefits Request Packet for your first
semester at TVCC.
5. AFTER you register for your first semester you
will need to visit the Veteran's Financial Aid office
with your class schedule showing tuition and fees due.
RETURNING VETERAN STUDENTS
If you HAVE used your VA benefits at TVCC before these are the steps you will need to follow to get certified:
1. Ensure the Veterans Financial Aid office has all
forms for you listed for New Veteran Students.
2. Fill out a VA Benefits Request Packet EVERY semester
you wish to be certified (or use) VA benefits.
3. Visit the Veterans Financial Aid office AFTER you
register with class schedule showing tuition and fees due.
