IT Services implemented a virtual environment utilizing four physical
servers that currently host fourteen virtual servers. The virtual
environment reduces the dependence on physical hardware. By utilizing
pools of shared server hardware, if one server goes down the virtual
server automatically moves to another physical server with very little
down time. The virtual environment provides more up time, hardware
changes with a simple reboot, and redundancy to our service
environment. |
