Working from home? You may be eligible to use TVCC's Microsoft Campus Agreement to use software on your home PC.

The Microsoft Campus Agreement (MSCA) allows each eligible TVCC faculty and staff membesr to use selected software products on one computer he or she owns, for College-related work. The cost of the Microsoft software licenses is covered by the Microsoft Campus Agreement but distribution media (CD-ROMs) must be purchased from Information Technology Services. The price is $10.00 per product with a limit of one copy of the media per person for each product.

The following products are available under the Work at Home license.

  • Office 2010 for Windows
  • Office 2008 for Mac


Each person who wishes to buy Microsoft software media must sign a form to certify his or her eligibility and to accept the terms of the MSCA and associated college policies. A valid TVCC identification card must also be presented for each purchaser.

The Microsoft software may be distributed to and used only by persons who agree to abide by the MSCA's restrictions (summarized below), applicable License Agreement terms (see the microsoft web page ) and applicable TVCC policies.


Who is eligible?

Faculty & Staff that use a computer or computers in the performance of their duties at TVCC.

Under the Campus Agreement, you have the right to use the Software for campus-related purposes at home. You are not licensed to use the Software at home for personal purposes. You do not own the license(s) or the CDs, rather you are authorized to use the Software and associated media pursuant to the terms and conditions of the Microsoft Campus Agreement during the licensed period. You will be required to remove the Software from your home machine immediately upon expiration of the licensed period or earlier if your employment by Trinity Valley Community College ends.

Who is not eligible?

If you are not a faculty or staff (as described above), you are not permitted to purchase or install the software. For example, the following people are not eligible:

  • Full or part-time students
  • part-time faculty or staff
  • conference attendees
  • alumni
  • retired faculty or staff
  • visitors
  • parents, spouses or siblings of current TVCC employees
  • companies, and their employees, who have been hired by TVCC on a contractual basis for services on campus or off campus
  • companies, and their employees, that collaborate with TVCC in outside ventures

Microsoft Licenscing Agreement

Microsoft Corporation licenses all software made available through the MSCA.
As a TVCC faculty or staff member, you may purchase one (1) copy of the media for each MSCA software product. The product may be installed and used, for college-related activities, on one (1) computer that you own or lease.

MSCA software may not be duplicated, sold, rented, leased, loaned, given, or otherwise transferred to another person or organization.

Products made available through the MSCA are licensed only for use during the term of the agreement. If the MSCA is terminated or is not renewed by the College, you are required to remove the software from the computer on which it is installed or else purchase a license for each product.
I f your status as a TVCC faculty or staff member ceases, you are required to remove the software from the computer on which it is installed or else purchase a license for each product.

MSCA software may not be reverse engineered, decompiled, or disassembled.

Each software product is licensed as a single product. Its component parts, if any, may not be separated for use on more than one computer.
